Product Strategy
Lessons Learnt
If I am completely honest, this was the first in depth market research project I've ever done.
- In doing so, I gained greater appreciation for the importance of understanding a market; not just who the potential customers are, but the total addressable market value.
- I am now more confident in my ability to size-up a market to know how much revenue can be potentially earned.
- I have gained new skills in identifying who competitors are, what they are doing and how much they are earning.
What I would do differently
When I undertake another Product Strategy task, I would focus more on potential customers and the competition. Specifically, I would study how well our ideal customers are responding to the activities of the competitor and try to find areas where the customers are underserved.
